PGG visit to The Japanese Gardens at Cowden, a seven acre site in the grounds of Cowden Castle, thirty miles north west of Edinburgh. And Rumbling Bridge Nursery which houses an interesting collection of rarer shrubs and plants as well as the nursery.

David Austin Roses have created a large rose garden which many consider to be one of the most beautiful in the world with over 700 different varieties of roses the garden is divided into a number of smaller areas, each with its own style.

PGG visit to Cawdor Castle which boasts three very different gardens. the Walled Garden, the Flower Garden and the Wild Garden. And then on to Auchindoune Gardens which has a Tibetan garden, a formal and vegetable gardens, an orchard and arboretum.

Burghley House is a Tudor mansion built by Sir William Cecil over a period of 32 years from 1563 onwards. The gardens and wider parklands were largely designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown in the 18th century.


PGG-5112 – Stansted Park 06.09.19

Stansted Park stands in 1800 acres of parkland and ancient forest within the South Downs National Park. In 1983 the 10th Earl of Bessborough gave Stansted Park, the Arboretum, his family home and its beautiful contents to the public.
